He's a young man known for being the son of the prodigious Professor Turo. Despite his relations, Arven's relationship with his father is a strained one. His mother stepped out shortly after he was born, and Turo, always invested in his work, hardly took the time to raise the boy. Their tie was further damaged when Turo successfully brought a mysterious pokemon, Miraidon, from the future via a functioning Time Machine, and left it in Arven's care.Forced to raise himself mostly alone, Arven's closest friend and pokemon ended up being his maschiff—eventually mabosstiff, whom grew alongside him from childhood. After an encounter in the strange crater of Area Zero turns nearly fatal, Mabosstiff is gravely injured. Determined to rescue his friend, Arven turns to the help of the Violet Book depicting herbs with incredible healing powers scattered across Paldea. Along the way, he acquires the aid of a new student of Uvo Academy to take down the titan pokemon guarding them.
